The City of Rocks State Park is 5 miles north of Faywood Hot Springs, NM. The City of Rocks is a fascinating area full of building size boulders that populate the desert in a one mile square area. There are several trails that meander throw the park with boulders of many sizes and shapes. The campsites are built into the rocks providing a really interesting camping experiences. Although we were just day visitors we plan to go back one day to camp out. There are about a dozen sites with electricity so make sure to reserve ahead of time unless you plan to dry camp.
My goal is to share my travel experiences through narrative and images to inspire others to explore our beautiful country. I hope that you are inspired by my travels and seek to see some of the wonderful public lands I have visited. Be sure to check out my links in the body of my blog to the trips and public lands I have visited over the years. You will find useful information that may help you in your travels.
